LadyBoss discovers new “work-life balance” with Vemma
For 18 years, Ryka Milo worked 50 hours a week as a marketing director for two area hospitals in Southern California while juggling being a highly involved mother of two.
“You’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do,” Ryka reflects. “Then, I heard about Vemma® and loved that the main formula was liquid, complete and simple.”
Once Ryka tried Vemma, she knew she had to share it with everyone she knew.
“I just knew Vemma was something everyone needed in their body,” she says. “So I turned sharing Vemma into a hobby.”
Little did she know that soon after the fateful introduction, her high-power career would come to a screeching halt when the company decided to eliminate her position.
But, rather than being discouraged, Ryka decided to take the experience and immediately turned to creating a solid plan for success to turn her “hobby” into a legitimate income source.
Creating freedom
Now, nearly eight years later, the Vemma Executive is fitting in video calls with team members between carpools; jumping on conference calls while cooking dinner for her family and successfully working her business into the nooks and crannies of her life. The family-centered mom says the flexibility she now has allows her to be as involved in her parents’ and kids’ lives the way she wants.
She does admit, however, that it does take some discipline and coordinating with the family to get into a routine that works for everyone.
“In the beginning, balancing your routine is the biggest challenge,” says Ryka. “I was battling that in the beginning and my kids would say ‘you’re always on the phone,’ but now they understand that it’s my work. I could do this and they could see me, or I could get a job in a building where they wouldn’t.”
Paying it forward
The best part for Ryka? Being part of a movement that’s all about “people helping people.” In fact, because she wasn’t working in a traditional job, she was more present in her kids’ lives and noticed a young student named Jed Buenaluz needed a place to stay. She took him in and now the young professional is a Vemma Ambassador traveling the world building his business.*
With her son now in college and her daughter in high school, Ryka says her Vemma income helps pay the $2,800 college tuition bill every month and gives her spending money to purchase the things she wants.* She’s looking forward to the New Year and believes it holds a lot of promise for everyone.
“It’s a New Year and time for people to hit the ‘reset’ button to have a new beginning.”
*Your success is dependent on your efforts and leadership abilities. The Company has generally expected results which can be obtained by visiting the Opportunity section of www.Vemma.com.
